Histological identification of Helicobacter pylori: comparison of staining methods.
AIM To determine whether two recently described staining methods (the modified McMullen's and the Helicobacter pylori silver stain HpSS methods) used for the histological identification of H pylori organisms are superior to two established techniques (the modified Giemsa and anti-H pylori antibody immunostain) in terms of availability, reproducibility, rapidity, sensitivity, and cost. METHODS...

متن کاملCampylobacter pylori gastritis.
Campylobacter pylori colonisation of the stomach is strongly associated with type B non-autoimmune gastritis in adults. In a retrospective study of 38 gastric biopsy specimens taken during upper gastrointestinal endoscopy in children attending this hospital we found C pylori in nine (24%). Ten biopsy specimens showed histological evidence of gastritis and C pylori was found in eight.
متن کاملEvaluation of Geophysical methods for identifying hidden Quaternary faults in alluvial sediments (case study: Chitgar Park)
Abstract In this research, Geophysical methods Ground Penetration Radar (GPR) and Geoelectric have been used to detect hidden Quaternary faults in alluvial sediments located southwest of Chitgar Forest Park (District 22 of Tehran). The study of profiles (GPR) identified areas such as fault. The results obtained from two Geoelectric profiles indicate that there are two zones with low electrical...
متن کاملHemagglutination activity of Campylobacter pylori.
Forty-five strains of Campylobacter pylori isolated from gastric biopsy specimens showed distinct hemagglutination activity. The activity was partially decreased by treatment with heat, trypsin, or an alkylating agent and was inhibited by porcine gastric mucin but not by various compounds, including D-mannose.
